Since 1998, Prof. Sunney Chan has established The Mr. and Mrs. Sun Chan Memorial Award in Organic Chemistry to recognize outstanding young organic chemists of Chinese origin under the age of 45 who have made significant contributions to the field. Sponsored by Prof. Sunney Chan, this award serves both to honor his parents and to support the professional development of talented young chemists of Chinese heritage. The prize is presented at the International Symposium on Organic Chemistry (ISCOC).
